Larry Holmes
Larry Holmes is a member and First Secretary of the Workers World Party. He was born in Boston but has spent most of his life living in New York. In 1974, he participated in the Boston March Against Racism which demonstrated how powerful a revolutionary can be when there is a crisis. The march had a transformative impact on the party and helped to assert unity for the working class against racism. Holmes has been consistent in his stance that confronting racists and explaining to everyone including progressive white people, that this is necessary for equality and fighting racist oppression.
