Roman Dobrokhotov is an investigative journalist and the founder of The Insider. He was born in Moscow on June 24, 1976. He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at Moscow State University in 1998 and began his career as a reporter for Kommersant-Daily. In 2003 he became an editor at Novaya Gazeta, where he worked until 2014. During this time, he covered various topics such as corruption, human rights violations, political repression and war crimes in Chechnya and other regions of Russia.
