Daranesha Herron

Meet Anchor Daranesha Herron. AUSTIN, Texas — Daranesha Herron is a weekend evening anchor for KVUE in Austin, Texas. Daranesha joined the KVUE news team as a reporter in October 2019 and was promoted to weekend evening anchor in 2021. She is originally from Houston, Texas, and is excited to be back in her home state. Before joining KVUE, Daranesha was a weekday morning anchor and reporter at WTVA/WLOV duopoly in Tupelo, Mississippi. Daranesha attended Texas State University before graduating with honors from the University of Houston with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. While in school, Daranesha spent a lot of her time on the football field as an NFL Cheerleader for the Houston Texans. She interned in Houston at FOX 26 during the Superbowl, which is a time she will never forget. Daranesha is no stranger to Austin. While attending Texas State University, she would frequent the area for the delicious food, beautiful hiking trails and other fun outdoor activities.
