Sammy Turner is a Digital Content Producer for KHOU-TV. His duties include creating and updating original content for all KHOU 11 digital, mobile and social media platforms. Turner is a graduate of the Texas State University School of Journalism and Mass Communication with a minor in sociology. While taking classes, he started his career as a digital journalist at KVUE-TV in Austin, covering a wide variety of topics ranging from the Austin City Limits Music Festival to Texas politics. Before joining KHOU 11, he worked at WZDX News, the TEGNA station in Huntsville, Alabama. Turner grew up in Houston and has a deep connection to the area.
