With annual rainfall averages between 140 to 200 mm, cloud seeding has been used since the 1990s to address water shortages. However, its effectiveness in precipitation is debated as it's challenging to quantify its impact. The UAE experienced its heaviest rainfall in 75 years, causing widespread flooding and damage.
