James is a graduate of IUPUI, studying journalism with a sports writing background. His passion for journalism began during his time at Ben Davis High School, where he was a writer for the Spotlight newspaper. In his personal life, he enjoys traveling with his wife Abby to places like Milwaukee, Nashville, Turks and Caicos, and Anna Maria Island in Florida. He also likes spending time with his nephew McCoy. James is committed to serving central Indiana and considers himself lucky to live in Indianapolis.
