One resident in Elkhorn shared her harrowing experience of being trapped in her basement with her two young sons as their house was torn apart. Tragically, a man named Nicholas Ring lost his life in Minden after being injured during the storms. Governor Kim Reynolds declared a disaster emergency for Minden and urged volunteers to help with recovery efforts.
