Ahmad Mukhtar

Ahmad Mukhtar is a CBS News producer and reporter who has been based outside of Afghanistan since 2009. He has covered the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, the Taliban's takeover of the country, and the subsequent evacuation efforts. Mukhtar has worked closely with CBS News correspondent Roxana Saberi to report on the impact of the conflict on Afghan civilians, including those who have been injured or displaced by bombings.
