Nasir Jamal

Nasir Jamal is a former deputy convener and senior leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) who parted ways with the party and joined Mustafa Kamal-led Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP). He was among the 23 leaders appointed members of the MQM coordination committee after the May 2013 elections and served as spokesman for several years when the MQM enjoyed share in both provincial and federal governments as a coalition partner. Jamal announced his decision to join PSP with firm faith in its leadership, stating that MQM-P had no vision and failed to fulfil promises made to the people of Karachi. His departure was followed by other senior party members, such as Karachi's deputy mayor Arshad Vohra.
