Ophelie Jacobson is a reporter for KCCI 8 News. Born in Massachusetts and having lived in California and Florida, she now resides in the Midwest for the first time. She graduated from the University of Florida with degrees in journalism and political science. At university, Ophelie was highly involved as an anchor, reporter, and producer for both WUFT News and Noticias WUFT. Her work earned multiple state, regional, and national awards including a first-place finish at the 2023 Hearst National Television Championship. Outside of work, she enjoys water polo, trying new restaurants, editing videos, playing pickleball and staying involved in church. She is fluent in Spanish and English and is working towards fluency in French. Ophelie holds dual citizenship in the United States and Belgium.
