James Giles

James Giles is a multimedia journalist who was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi and later relocated to Columbus, Georgia with his mother and sisters. He graduated from Shaw High School in 2014 and played varsity basketball and marched in the marching band. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army Reserves before attending Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama where he earned a degree in mass communications with a concentration in radio and television. James has worked as a multimedia journalist for WBRC FOX6 News and as a reporter and weekend morning anchor for WTVM News Leader 9. In 2023, he received a merit award from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters for Best General Assignment Reporting in Small Market TV. James' interests include crime documentaries and television shows, horror movies, video games, working out, and sports. He enjoys spending time with his family and is a Georgia Boy at heart but feels at home in Alabama.
