Micaela Marshall

Micaela Marshall is a reporter at Arizona's Family. She joined the team in July 2023 and is excited to explore the Valley. Micaela is an Ohio native and has worked as a reporter/fill-in anchor in Cleveland. During her time at Spectrum News 1 Ohio, she earned multiple awards for her work, including five Emmy nominations, several Society of Professional Journalists awards, and an AP award. She has experience in health/medical reporting, human interest storytelling, and investigative journalism. Micaela's notable works include exclusive interviews with individuals on death row or wrongfully convicted teens. She also reported on the lessons that can be learned from communities dealing with toxic train derailments following a major wreck and chemical spill in East Palestine, Ohio. Prior to her time in Cleveland, she was the first Multimedia Journalist at WTVG 13abc in Toledo, Ohio, where she earned an Emmy for breaking news. Micaela is a proud graduate of Ohio University E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and gained experience interning at WTVG 13abc, the TODAY Show, and CBS News in the Investigative Unit. She believes working in local news is a privilege and is honored to continue her career in Phoenix.
