Allura Leggard

Allura Leggard is an anchor and multimedia journalist who joined CNY Central in June 2021. She is a recent Ithaca College graduate with a major in journalism and a minor in African diaspora studies. During her time at Ithaca, she interned with NBC news desk and the specials unit, worked as a reporter for WKNO FM to cover Super Tuesday in 2020, and served as an anchor and reporter for her college television station's top-ranked news show. She also co-hosted a sports show called 'Undercovered' on her college radio station, VIC. Allura is passionate about storytelling and enjoys being part of the CNY team, where she covers local news with a focus on hearing people's stories and getting to know the Syracuse community. Originally from Sag Harbor in Long Island, Allura is a beach lover and an avid Knicks fan. She is also a sports enthusiast and has been running as a sprinter since she was five years old, continuing her passion for track and field in college.
