Julian Paras is a New Mexico native who returned to his roots after studying Journalism and Mass Communications at Arizona State University. He began his career as an Anchor/Reporter in Pocatello, Idaho, before moving on to report in Memphis, Tennessee. For a brief period, he worked in the restaurant industry but missed news reporting. Julian then joined KOAT Action 7 News as a Multimedia Journalist, where he currently works. His stories often focus on issues affecting New Mexico. In his spare time, Julian enjoys working out at the gym, exploring his passion for food by cooking and dining out, playing video games, reading books, and strumming his guitar. He is known to be a 'gym rat' and an avid gamer.
