Emma McCorkindale

Emma McCorkindale is a journalist who joined the 22News team in September of 2022 as a digital producer. She graduated from Western New England University with a bachelor's degree in communications, concentrating on media and journalism. During her time at university, she was the president of Golden Bear Television and received multiple awards for her contributions to the club and communication studies. Emma also held leadership positions in Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association Honor Society, and Mortar Board Honors Society. She completed an internship at New York Sound and Motion in Springfield, where she honed her skills in editing, lighting, and communication. At 22News, Emma reports on a variety of topics across western Massachusetts including crime, local events, entertainment, weather among others. In her free time she enjoys working out at the gym or spending time with family and friends. She is also an avid theatre enthusiast and has been acting since she was ten years old.
