Broke On: Monday, 27 May 2024 At least 20 people have been killed and hundreds injured as powerful storms swept through multiple states including Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, New York City and others. Preliminary reports indicate at least 622 reports of severe weather were recorded on Sunday with 14 tornadoes causing widespread destruction. Rescue efforts are underway in areas hit hardest such as Pembroke in Christian County where homes were damaged and trees knocked down. The National Weather Service reported a large tornado caused extensive damage in Kentucky, while thousands remain without power.
