Wendy Davis is a news anchor for WFMZ-TV's 69 News. She anchors the 5:00, 5:30, 6:00, 10:00, and 10:30 newscasts alongside Rob Vaughn. A native of Berks County, Wendy joined WFMZ-TV in 1997 as a reporter for the Berks Edition. Since then, she has covered many major stories for 69 News including the Eagles' return to the Super Bowl in 2023 and the Phillies' trip to the World Series in 2022. Politics have also been a big part of Wendy's reporting. She covered the Republican National Convention in Philadelphia in 2000 and both the Republican and Democratic conventions in Cleveland and Philadelphia, respectively, in 2016. Wendy served as a panelist for the U.S. Senate debate between Pat Toomey and U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia in 2010. She moved to the anchor desk in 2003, co-anchoring both the popular 69 News at Sunrise and early evening newscasts until her move to the 10:00 and 10:30 shows. Wendy was recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences' Mid-Atlantic chapter for being part of the Emmy Award-winning 69 News: Berks Edition newscast in 2005. She has also received several Emmy Award nominations and AP Awards for breaking news and feature reporting. Wendy's roots run deep in the Lehigh Valley / Berks County area as her family has called this area home for generations.
