Will Grant
Ed Asner was an American actor and union leader who appeared in numerous television and film productions. He was best known for playing Lou Grant, a character first introduced as Mary Richards' boss on The Mary Tyler Moore Show in the 1970s before getting his own show from 1977 to 1982. Asner's portrayal of the irascible editor of the fictional Los Angeles Tribune earned him seven Emmy awards, a record for a male performer at the time.
