BJ Colangelo is a Los Angeles-based film critic and journalist known for her expertise in cult cinema, coming-of-age teen girl movies, and adult animation. She has written for various publications such as Fangoria Magazine, Playboy.com, Autostraddle, Vulture, The Daily Dot, Shudder and has contributed to several books including 'Creepy B****es', 'When Animals Attack!', 'Hidden Horror 101', 'Evil Seeds: The Ultimate Movie Guide to Villainous Children' and the upcoming 'Haunted Reels'. She is a voting member of GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics. BJ Colangelo currently serves as the Lead Evening News Editor at /Film, where she has been writing professionally about film for over a decade.
