Ray Schonbak was a broadcast television professional who most recently served as VP-general manager of KSWB TV, the Tribune-owned Fox affiliate in San Diego. His career spanned over five decades and included roles with General Electric, Metromedia, News Corp., Emmis Communications, Koplar Communications and Tribune Broadcasting. Born in Pittsburgh and a veteran of the Vietnam War, Ray started his career in television as an account executive at a local station in Portland, Maine. During his tenure at KSWB, the station transformed into a top-performing Fox affiliate under his leadership. Ray also played an instrumental role in creating 'San Diego's Most Wanted,' a TV show produced in association with the FBI.
