Sheridan Hurtig
Sheridan Hurtig is a Morning Anchor for WMBD This Morning at 5 and 6 a.m., and Good Day Central Illinois on WYZZ at 7 and 8 a.m. Monday through Friday. She also frequents the noon show on WMBD. Prior to her anchoring role, she served as a digital reporter and night side reporter. Through her role, she has gained proficiency in writing, reporting, producing, and story-telling. In addition to her professional commitments, Sheridan has been actively involved in the community. In January of 2022, she was crowned Miss Peoria Metro through the Miss Illinois/Miss America program and has spent time at local food pantries educating others about the importance of giving back. In her spare time, Sheridan enjoys reading, binge-watching TV shows, blasting music in her car, and cooking. She also loves musicals and recently acted in In The Heights put on by the Peoria Players. Sheridan has lived in the area for six years with her boyfriend and now three cats. She graduated from Bradley University in 2021, majoring in television arts and minoring in journalism.
