Scott Sistek is a meteorologist and Senior Digital Content Producer based in the Seattle area. A native of the Pacific Northwest, Scott has been passionate about weather since he was 7 years old. His love for weather grew from a childhood storm experience - in his case, it was a major windstorm along the Oregon Coast. Scott earned his degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Washington and began working at KOMO-TV shortly after graduating. He held various roles, including weather producer, online forecast writer (one of the first!), and co-author of the book 'Somewhere, I Was Right.' With over 20 years of experience at KOMO-TV, Scott now contributes to Fox Weather where he continues to share his expertise in meteorology. He is also a co-author of the 'Partly to Mostly Bloggin,' a weather blog that showcases his insights and analysis. In his free time, Scott enjoys watching baseball and softball games and advocating for those who appreciate rainfall (pluviophiles).
