Maddy Myers is a seasoned video game journalist and editor with over a decade of experience. She has held various positions at notable publications such as Polygon, Kotaku, The Mary Sue, and the Boston Phoenix since 2007. At Polygon, she has been running the games section since 2020. Maddy's expertise in competitive gaming (from Counter-Strike to Street Fighter) has led her writing to be featured in Paste Magazine, Offworld, Kill Screen, and MIT Technology Review. In addition to her work as a writer and editor, she co-hosts a weekly video game podcast on the Maximum Fun network called Triple Click and a weekly X-Men podcast called The Mutant Ages. Maddy's accomplishments include winning 1st Place in the Social Issues Feature category at the 2011 New England Newspaper and Press Association Awards and being shortlisted for the New York Videogame Critics Circle's Games Journalism Award in 2020.
