Morning Meteorologist - First Alert Weather April Warnecke is a meteorologist for First Alert Weather in Arizona's Family. She has been forecasting weather for Good Morning Arizona for 17 years. April is a native of Gilbert, Arizona and graduated from Gilbert High School before attending the University of Arizona where she earned a degree in journalism and a meteorology certification. She began her career in Medford, Oregon at the CBS affiliate before moving to Spokane, Washington for another television job. Her husband, Mark McClune also works for Arizona's Family in the sports department. The couple has two boys and enjoy chasing storms and sporting events all over Arizona as a family. April is particularly fond of monsoon season in Arizona due to her childhood memories of watching dust storms roll into town. She finds the unpredictability of the monsoon exciting for weather forecasting. She can be seen on Good Morning Arizona from Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
