Caroline Faraj,

Caroline Faraj is an award-winning journalist with over 30 years of experience. She currently serves as CNN Vice President and CNN Arabic Editor-in-Chief, based in Dubai. Throughout her career, she has held various roles including senior political reporter for Al Rai, managing editor for the Jordan Times, and regional correspondent for the US Defense News. Faraj has also worked in London and Jordan for several TV stations and conceived and hosted Jordan's first live morning television talk show, Youm Jadid. In addition to her work at CNN, she is an active Board Member of Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Foundation, a member of the Advisory Boards for City University of London and Zayed University in Dubai among others. Faraj has received numerous awards and recognitions including the Arab Woman of the year Awards 2022 and Arab Woman Awards' media category in the UAE. She is an advocate for female empowerment and mentoring, having served as an ambassador for Re:Set, The Playing Field, and a board member of Cass Global Women's Leadership Program. Faraj has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications from Yarmouk University in Jordan, a Master of Arts in International Journalism from City University London, and an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science from the same institution.
