Greg Haas is a 36-year veteran journalist in Las Vegas with expertise in news technology, newsroom management, and reporting. He has a background in writing, photography, and covering crime, courts, environmental issues, public lands, government affairs and new businesses around the Las Vegas valley. Greg is particularly interested in stories about cycling within the local community. Before joining 8 News Now from a three-decade stint at the Las Vegas Review-Journal where he helped create the newspaper's website, he graduated from Colorado State University and worked for two years on the Texas Gulf Coast prior to relocating to Las Vegas in 1987. In his free time, Greg enjoys cycling around the north valley with some mountain biking mixed in. He is a dedicated Denver Broncos fan and has developed an appreciation for hockey since the arrival of the Golden Knights in Las Vegas. Greg finds joy in talking to people and learning from their perspectives, which he gets to do regularly as a journalist.
