Christine Ferreira is a dedicated meteorologist with over two decades of experience in weather forecasting. As the Chief Meteorologist at WGAL News 8, she leads a team of meteorologists responsible for providing accurate and reliable weather coverage to the south-central Pennsylvania region. Christine has been delivering precise forecasts on WGAL News 8 Today for over a decade, earning her an Associated Press award for “best weathercast” in 2015. She is a member of the American Meteorological Society and holds the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) Seal of Approval. Prior to joining WGAL, Christine worked at several other television stations, including KAVU-TV in Texas, KOIN-TV in Oregon, and WEWS-TV in Ohio. In addition to her broadcasting work, Christine is actively involved in the Susquehanna Valley community and is passionate about STEM education and inspiring young women to pursue careers in science.
