Iliana Limón Romero is the Los Angeles Times assistant managing editor for Sports. As an El Paso native, she joined The Times in March 2021. Prior to that, she was the sports editor at the Orlando Sentinel where her contributions were part of the paper's Pulitzer finalist coverage of the Pulse nightclub shooting. Limón Romero holds a significant role in advocating for women and Hispanic journalists through her positions as chair of the Assn. for Women in Sports Media and co-chair of the National Assn.
