Andrea Medina,

Andrea Medina is a reporter known for her work covering a variety of topics including crime, education, and sports. She began her career at WCIA-TV in Champaign, IL before moving on to WHBF-TV in Rock Island, IL and then WXIX-TV in Cincinnati, OH where she covered significant events such as the COVID-19 pandemic's impact on school reopenings, the deadly tornado in Western Kentucky, protests for racial equality and the Cincinnati Bengals' Super Bowl appearance. Andrea is originally from Chicago's Southwest Side and takes pride in her Mexican-American heritage while amplifying Latino voices. She is a Curie High School alumnus and graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she became a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. In her free time, Andrea enjoys exploring Chicago's restaurant scene with her husband, spending time with family and friends, playing volleyball and walking her dogs. She is actively involved in the community and considers herself a pizza connoisseur.
