Joe Donatelli is a seasoned journalist with a diverse background in various publications and digital startups. He currently serves as the Digital Director of the website he contributes to, as well as publishing the What Happened Now? newsletter. Prior to this role, he has worked for Los Angeles magazine, Playboy, Scripps-Howard News Service, and more. Joe joined News 5 in 2017 after a long career in journalism. He is a native of Mayfield Heights, Ohio and a proud alumnus of The Ohio University's E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. In his personal life, Joe is an avid sports fan, supporting the Cleveland Guardians, Cavs and Browns through thick and thin. His favorite music band is Wilco, and he enjoys watching The Simpsons from 1988 to 2001. Joe's favorite book is Watchmen, while his culinary preference leans towards hot wings and buffets. He has a hidden talent in improv but prefers not to boast about it. One fun fact about Joe is that he once had hair, which he no longer does.
