Evan Denton

Evan Denton is a sports and news reporter currently working at KWQC. He started there in January 2022 after previously working as a multimedia journalist and fill-in sports anchor at WQOW in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Evan studied journalism at Northwestern University and was part of the school's student-run television station, Northwestern News Network, where he served as one of the station's sports reporters, anchors, and eventually sports director. Evan is a die-hard Michigan Wolverines fan and enjoys trying new restaurants, exploring new areas, FaceTiming his parents' golden retriever Sienna, and watching sports and throwback Vine compilations whenever possible. He covers local athletes preparing for the Olympics, residents recovering from severe storm damage, high school sports events in Iowa and Illinois including baseball, softball matches and the annual Pro-AM event which features appearances from former professional athletes.
