Liz Ruskin,

Liz Ruskin is a seasoned journalist who currently serves as the Washington, D.C., correspondent for Alaska Public Media. In this role, she covers the state's congressional delegation, public lands and resource development policy from both Anchorage and the nation's capital. Her journalism career began at the Homer News before moving on to the Anchorage Daily News. Since 2013, she has been a part of Alaska Public Media. Liz is a graduate of West Anchorage High School and the University of Washington, with a master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri. In her free time, she enjoys baking bread, hiking, skiing and exploring historical sites around D.C. She also maintains a fortnightly newsletter called 'Alaska At-Large'.
