WAFB is a news station based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The station has a team of experienced journalists who report on local and regional news. One of its notable reporters is Tisha Powell, who joined the WAFB 9NEWS team in August 2021. Tisha is a Louisiana native and a graduate of H.L. Bourgeois High School and Loyola University New Orleans, where she majored in broadcast news and minored in political science.
