Derek Togerson
Derek Togerson is a versatile journalist who has been with NBC San Diego since 2005. He reports, anchors, shoots and produces sports for the station. Prior to this role, Derek held various positions in the sports industry including roles at KESQ radio in Palm Springs, KAPP in Yakima, WCAU in Philadelphia and KPNX in Phoenix. He has a strong background as a sports reporter and is well-versed with covering local sporting events. In his personal life, Derek enjoys running, fishing, attempting to golf and cooking. He also likes to throw batting practice when he gets the chance. Outside of his work at NBC San Diego, Derek has three children and is involved in various community activities related to sports.
