MIKE MANGAS,

Mike Mangas is a seasoned journalist with deep roots in the Northstate region. He is a proud graduate of St. Joseph Elementary School, Shasta High School, and California State University, Chico. Since 1978, he has been working at KRCR-TV as a news reporter, anchor, and sports director. In addition to his media career, Mike is also a Roman Catholic Deacon ordained in 1992. He is actively involved in the community as a member of the Redding Rotary Club and various boards such as Shasta Community Health Center, United Way, Good News Rescue Mission, Advisory boards of Mercy Medical Center Redding, Northern Valley Catholic Social Service, and Shasta County Public Health. Mike is married to his wife Lindy and has three children - Jake, Andrew, and Michaela. They also have five grandchildren. As a dedicated professional, Mike considers himself to work for the viewers rather than the company that issues his paychecks.
