KAKE Television is a local news station serving Wichita and surrounding areas in Kansas. The station has been broadcasting since 1954 and is an ABC affiliate. KAKE provides nearly 40 hours of locally-produced news coverage each week, including good morning Kansas and KAKE News at 10. The station also offers severe weather coverage for viewers in northwest, northcentral, and southwestern Kansas through its satellite stations KLBY, KHDS-LD, and KUPK. In February 2016, Lockwood Broadcast Group acquired the station.
