China Daily is a national English-language newspaper in China established in 1981. It has a circulation of over 200,000 copies, one-third of which are abroad in more than 150 countries and regions. The newspaper aims to be the 'Voice of China' and provides information on Chinese politics, economy, society, and culture. Its readers include foreigners, high-end nationals such as diplomats and governmental policy makers, overseas subscribers like government officials and members of parliaments, staff members of international organizations and multinationals, professors, researchers and students in universities and institutes. China Daily is the only representative for China in the Asian News Network (ANN), a non-government media organization consisting of 14 major English-language newspapers. The newspaper's headquarters are in Beijing with branches in Shanghai and Guangzhou, and correspondents in all major cities in China.
