Amazon Prime members now have access to free food delivery through Grubhub, marking an expansion of the partnership between the two companies. This perk adds to the existing benefits of Amazon Prime, which includes services like Prime Video, Amazon Music, RxPass, and unlimited grocery delivery from Whole Foods and Amazon Fresh.
Amazon customers can order food delivery directly on Amazon's website and app using Grubhub. The partnership offers free deliveries for eligible orders over $12 for Prime members. Additionally, non-Prime members can also place orders through the platform with regular fees.
The collaboration between Amazon and Grubhub is not new; two years ago, Amazon took a 2% stake in Grubhub's parent company, Just Eat Takeaway.com. At that time, Prime members received a free one-year subscription to Grubhub+ with their membership.
Amazon's food delivery offerings have grown over the years. The company previously operated Amazon Restaurants but shut it down in 2019 to focus on grocery delivery and nonperishable items. With this new partnership, Amazon Prime members can enjoy a wider range of food options through Grubhub.
