Lydia Patrick was born on January 1st in New York City. She grew up in a small town outside of Boston where she developed an early interest in journalism and politics. After graduating from college with a degree in political science, Lydia began her career as a reporter for the local newspaper before moving to Washington D.C., where she worked for several years at The Hill and Politico. In 2018, Lydia was hired by The Independent as their US correspondent based in New York City.
