Chief Petty Officer Fire Controlman Bryce Pedicini is accused of failing to report solicitations and delivering documents relating to national defense multiple times between November 2021 and February 2023 in Hampton Roads, Virginia. In May 2023 while in Yokosuka Japan, Pedicini allegedly brought a personal electronic device into a restricted area and processed classified information on an unapproved system.

U.S. Navy Warship Intercepts Drone from Yemen in Red Sea

Broke On: Wednesday, 15 November 2023 The USS Thomas Hudner, a U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyer, shot down a drone believed to have originated from Yemen in the Red Sea. The drone was heading in the direction of the ship, prompting the crew to engage and neutralize the threat. There were no U.S. casualties or damage to the ship reported. The U.S. did not launch a recovery effort for the drone, which is estimated to be worth roughly $30 million. The Hudner was not believed to be the intended target of the drone. The USS Thomas Hudner is part of the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group and was in the southern portion of the Red Sea at the time of the engagement. The Houthi leader has stated that his forces will continue attacks on Israel, including potentially targeting Israeli ships in the Red Sea and the Bab al Mandeb Strait.
