Kim Castro is a meteorologist for KHOU 11 News, joining the team in October of 2021 after working on the West Coast for five years. She worked in Fresno, California at KMPH and Medford, Oregon at KTVL. Kim has a B.S. in Geosciences, Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State and a B.A. in Spanish, Translation and Interpretation from the University of Arizona. She is half Ecuadorian, half German, and fully bilingual, forecasting in Spanish as well as English. Kim loves weather and mother nature, having explored various parts of the world including volcanoes and islands. When not working, she enjoys exploring food.
