Jason Simpson is a meteorologist who joined WVTM 13 in 2022. He has worked as a principal scientist at Dynetics and as a chief meteorologist in Huntsville. He has over two decades of experience covering weather in Alabama, including major events such as Hurricane Ivan, Katrina, the tornado outbreak of 2011, and the flash floods of Christmas 2015. He graduated from Mississippi State University with honors in 2001. He is an Emmy-award-winning journalist who connects with his audience through social media and articles.
