Kristofer Noceda is a reporter for NBC Bay Area. He covers breaking news and developments in San Jose, Silicon Valley and beyond. He joined NBC Bay Area in October 2013 as an intern while studying at San Francisco State University. After graduating with a degree in journalism, he became a full-time reporter for the station. Noceda has covered major stories such as the Asiana Airlines crash at San Francisco International Airport, the Gilroy Garlic Festival shooting and numerous wildfires across Northern California. He is also passionate about telling the stories of everyday people who make a difference in their communities. He has profiled everything from firefighters to foster parents to community activists.
