Peter Newcomb is an executive editor at Bloomberg News. He oversees the Close newsletter franchise and covers markets, business and sports for the Americas region. He joined Bloomberg in 2019 after working as a senior writer for TheStreet.com, where he covered Wall Street, economics and politics. Before that, he was a reporter for Reuters Media Network and Dow Jones Newswires. Newcomb has also written for Variety, Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter on topics ranging from entertainment to finance. He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Maryland and a master's degree in business administration from Fordham University.
