Kenny Van

Kenny Lofton is a former professional baseball center fielder who played for the Cleveland Indians and several other Major League Baseball teams over a 17-year career. Known for his exceptional defense and tremendous speed, he led the American League in stolen bases five times and was recognized with six All-Star appearances and four Gold Gloves. Lofton played multiple seasons for the Indians, earning him six All-Star appearances, four Gold Gloves, and a second-place finish for the AL Rookie of the Year Award in 1992. He is also remembered for his time with the San Francisco Giants where he helped them reach the World Series in 2002. Some of his top career moments include a passed ball scored from second base, a basket catch to rob Torii Hunter of an extra-base hit, a four-hit game with a walk-off homer and five stolen bases, and several other impressive defensive plays. Lofton ended his career with 2,428 hits and is one of the 286 Major Leaguers who have joined the 2,000 hits club.
