WGME Staff consists of a team of professionals dedicated to providing news and weather updates to the people of Maine. The team is led by Meteorologist Emily Santom, who joined the CBS13/FOX23 team in May 2023. Emily grew up in southern New Hampshire and has a deep understanding of New England's extreme weather conditions, having experienced everything from the 2008 Ice Storm to the gusts of Tropical Storm Irene in 2011. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Plymouth State University and has a passion for broadcasting meteorology. Emily previously worked as a meteorologist for a local television station in Plymouth while studying at PSU and also played competitive lacrosse. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Maine's city and natural landscapes, trying new restaurants, photographing clouds, and always sipping on an iced coffee regardless of the season. The WGME Staff covers a wide range of topics related to Maine, including local news and weather updates.
